Checks from incoming materials to release.
Incoming materials and packaging, production and finished goods are checked against written requirements. Toothpaste and mouthwash bulk products are checked after compounding or mixing and before filling. First-piece checks and in-process inspections are carried out during filling and packaging, and also apply to toothbrush and floss-pick production.
Finished products undergo inspection and require release approval before shipment.
Checks suited to the product.
The applicable test items, methods and acceptance criteria are confirmed against the product specification and project requirements. Detailed test lists and reports can be discussed during technical review.
- Toothpaste and mouthwash
- Sensory, physical and chemical, and microbiological checks support product assessment. Representative checks include appearance, colour, odour and pH, with consistency or viscosity checks for toothpaste and fluoride-related testing for fluoride toothpaste.
- Toothbrushes
- Checks cover appearance, bristle finishing, tuft retention and the structural strength of the brush head and handle.
- Floss picks
- Checks cover appearance and burrs, floss retention and tensile performance, and handle strength.
In-house testing and external support.
The factory laboratory carries out product checks, including routine microbiological testing of each finished toothpaste and mouthwash batch before release. Fluoride-related testing is supported both internally and through external laboratories. The representative toothbrush and floss-pick checks can be completed in-house.
External testing is arranged as appropriate for periodic checks, new formulations or product changes, customer requests and destination-market requirements. The scope is agreed for the product and project.

Stability and packaging-compatibility testing supports the assessment of toothpaste and mouthwash products and their packaging solutions. The test plan depends on the product and packaging configuration; these assessments are distinct from routine batch-release checks.
